Illustrated Journal: Fall Disappointment

Recently I have become disappointed in myself in the way I “collect” real life references, especially at this time of year. Just as it happens every year, when autumn rolls around, all of the trees in the area change to some extremely beautiful shades and colors. I am disappointed because, once again, this year I have taken for granted this change and did not really get any photos before the rains came. With the rain knocking out most of the leaves and leaving the trees bare, many of these colors are now gone. It really is unfortunate because of all the missed opportunities for collecting references and pictures which could have been used in future projects. In the end it looks like I will just have to wait till next year for another opportunity. Now I must wait for the snow to come in and cover the area and the bare branches (however, I will sure to document that!).
