Matrices and Color Harmony

matrix-small matrix

By taking patterns and repeating them over top of each other, one can create a matrix. Within these matrices, common rhythms and movements can be created within multiple pieces. This along with the use of complementary, analogous, and intensity change colors, one can create one complete work using multiple pieces of artwork. My artwork connects with other pieces using a split complementary composition between all of the works. I also left a decent amount of whitespace to contrast with the color and dark earthtones created through intensity change.
